Narissa McEver – Narissa says that on career day in elementary school, she knew exactly what she wanted to be. Not a princess, firefighter, or a teacher. Her chosen career: Doctor. She loves science and intends to major in Biology. Living first with a father who was too ill to work, then with her mom who had to work extra jobs just to get by, Narissa had to take responsibility for herself and help her sister too. She has worked to help provide while keeping up a challenging course schedule. Her college counsellor says “Throughout this hardship and tragedy, she has maintained her amiable nature, her character and values, and her level of achievement.” Narissa is attending Belmont University.
