Joe White, PresidentJoe White joined NovaCopy, Inc. in March of 2005 as Vice President Major Accounts in Nashville, TN. In January, 2006 NovaCopy appointed Joe as President where he serves today.Under Mr. White’s leadership, NovaCopy associates helped the company earn the Future Fifty Award the last 5 consecutive years. Future Fifty achievement places NovaCopy in the top 50 fastest growing companies in Middle Tennessee.
Joe brings a broad perspective to his role at NovaCopy having spent nearly 10 years with Danka Office Imaging Company as the North American Director of their High Volume Initiative and also managed the company’s strategic alliance with the Hewlett Packard Company. For ten years prior to joining Danka, Joe held various executive marketing positions with Xerox Corporation and the Eastman Kodak Company.
Joe’s wife Gina is a native Nashvillian and was the very first person Joe met upon relocating to Nashville from Chicago in 1986. Joe & Gina had their wedding reception at the Nashville City Club and now have one daughter, Rosemary Claire, 11, and the family now resides in West Nashville’s Bellevue Community.
Matt Shorter, Vice PresidentMatt Shorter is a sales executive intently focused on business development who has maintained leadership responsibilities with Coca-Cola, Temple-Inland, National Fidelity and Sequent, Inc. He currently holds the position of general sales manager for NovaCopy in Nashville.He is a member of the Nashville area Chamber of Commerce, Nashville Small Business Advisory Council and serves on the board of directors for Kiwanis Club of Nashville. He also has served on the board of directors for Nashville’s American Marketing Association, Brentwood Soccer Club and Nolensville Youth Athletic Association. Matt has also been an active partner with the Pencil Foundation and the Academies of Nashville, which guide metro high school students to prepare for professional life subsequent to their secondary education.A native of Roanoke, VA, Matt has been a resident of middle Tennessee for more than 25 years and considers Nashville his home. He resides in Nolensville with his wife Lesley and three children, Drew, Cailin and Brooke. Some of Matt’s interests outside of family and business are fly fishing, golf and coaching youth athletics.
Edward VanVoorhees, Secretary-Treasurer Ed owns CitruSolution of Middle Tennessee, a licensee of CitruSolution of Atlanta Georgia. This firm uses a proprietary citrus-based, non-toxic cleanser for in-home or in-office cleaning services of area & Oriental Rugs, carpets, and upholstery. From 1978-2009, he worked with (or owned and later sold) smaller companies that were in need of disciplined management. These included both high-growth firms and distressed companies. Industries included mobile medical services, automotive parts distribution, food wholesaling, ocean aquaculture, green waste recycling and remarketing, and import and distribution of fashion plumbing fixtures.From 2004-2008, Ed was an adjunct professor in Marketing and Operations Management at Tennessee State University and also at Belmont University.Ed is a member of the National Association of Property Managers (NARPM), where he serves on the Board of Directors as Charity Chairman for the Nashville Chapter. He also serves on the Finance Committee of the Golden Cross Foundation and is Finance Chairman of the McKendree Foundation. He is a member of West End United Methodist Church and the Downtown Nashville Kiwanis Club.
Ed is married to Linda, a child psychiatrist, and lives in Green Hills. They have four adult children. His hobbies include tennis, golf, exotic sports cars, and travel.
Chris Weinberg, Chair of Annual BanquetSince 2002, Chris Weinberg has focused his professional energies helping businesses develop best practices for sustainable performance with an approach that allows entrepreneurial and mid size companies to become “corporate enough.”Prior to founding Well Coached Consulting, Chris served as the Chief Operating Officer of a highly successful company that led to a public offering, President and Partner of multi location businesses and was the founder and CEO of one of the nation’s largest hospitality consulting firms. He has been the acting CEO of several growth and turnaround companies and has helped structure and guide businesses in a variety of industries.Weinberg is recognized for his ability to shape and mold concepts, provide the framework of how best to open and operate organizations and teach owners and operators the skill set needed from concept launch to multi unit expansion. For more than 20 years Chris has studied and successfully implemented the lessons taught in The One Minute Manager and Raving Fans. He enjoys working with clients of all backgrounds and is equally comfortable engaging with companies on the Fortune 500 list as well as concepts and organizations in their infancy stage.Outside of work, Chris spends time chasing his 12 and 7 year old sons, coaching ball teams and slogging through marathons – 27 finishes to date!
In addition to the Bootstraps Foundation, Weinberg serves on the board of the American Diabetes Association of Tennessee and is the Managing Director of the Nashville City Club.
Chris holds a Business Management degree from North Carolina State University where he graduated with honors.

Jane Anne Miller, At Large Director
Jane Anne is currently a consultant and managing partner with MILLER.LACY, a business consulting firm specializing in physician practices. Jane Anne has served as the Vice President of Operations for Ascend Management Innovations, a managed care company specializing in partnerships with the public sector of the healthcare industry on a state and national level. Jane Anne has also served as Chief Operating Officer for Southwest General Hospital, a 327 bed acute care hospital owned by Iasis Healthcare. She held various positions in several Iasis hospitals during her time with the company.
Jane Anne is the former co-chair of the Women in Healthcare Forum, and holds memberships in: the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Nashville Area Rhodes Alumni Association where she serves as Co-president, Alpha Omicron Pi National Sorority, Kiwanis Club, and Trinity University Healthcare Alumni Association.
Jane Anne earned her M.S. in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and her B.A. in Urban Studies, with a minor in Business Administration from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.

Angela Nordstrom, Honorary DirectorAngela Nordstrom led Bootstraps Banquets and Scholarship Committees for over five years. As a sales executive with NIC, egov.com, her travel schedule and family commitments curtail her ability to lead those Committees. The current Board recognizes her vital service and leadership in the Bootstraps Foundation’s good works. She remains connected to Bootstraps as a mentor and Director emeritus.
